📋 Communication Policy
Keeping communication on-platform protects everyone.
Why We Require On-Platform Communication
JobSucks requires all project-related communication to happen within our platform. This isn't about limiting your freedom — it's about protecting your money, your work, and your reputation. Here's why:
On-platform messages serve as evidence in disputes. Off-platform conversations (WhatsApp, Telegram, email) cannot be verified and aren't admissible.
Communication off-platform often leads to off-platform payments, which means zero escrow protection, zero refund ability, and zero dispute support.
Scammers often pressure victims to move to WhatsApp, Telegram, or email where they can't be tracked. Our monitoring helps catch this early.
🚫 What's Not Allowed
- Sharing phone numbers, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Skype handles before an official contract is established
- Requesting or suggesting payment outside the platform's escrow system
- Asking clients/freelancers to contact you via external messaging apps
- Sharing personal email addresses in bid proposals or initial messages
- Circumventing platform fees by completing transactions off-platform
✅ What's Allowed
- Using our built-in messaging for all project discussions
- Sharing files through the workroom file sharing system
- Using our milestone system for phased payments
- Sharing screen recordings or video demos via file upload
- After contract is completed, exchanging contact info for future off-platform work (but platform fees still apply for repeat clients)
⚠️ Consequences of Violations
- First violation: Warning and message redaction
- Second violation: Temporary account restriction (7 days)
- Third violation: Account suspension pending review
- Fee avoidance: Permanent ban and forfeiture of pending payments
These policies are in place to protect all JobSucks users. If you have questions, contact our support team.
